Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use Laura's Little Cafe website and online delivery or collection ordering service.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Laura's Little Cafe website or place an online delivery or collection order. Please read them before submitting an order.

By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Notice separately explains how we use personal information.

2. Online ordering availability

Online collection and online delivery are controlled independently and are available while the relevant service has been enabled by the cafe. We may pause collection, delivery or both at any time, including because the cafe is closed, capacity is reached, stock is unavailable or there is a technical problem.

If online ordering is unavailable, you can still view the public website. Existing private tracking links continue to work.

3. Delivery and collection

For delivery, orders are currently limited to addresses accepted by our delivery checker within a maximum delivery radius of 3 miles from Laura's Little Cafe. A flat £2.50 delivery charge applies to accepted delivery orders. Collection orders are collected from Laura's Little Cafe and do not carry a delivery charge.

The address checker provides an estimated delivery distance. We may refuse a delivery order if the address is outside our practical delivery area or if the address supplied is incomplete or inaccurate. Collection customers are responsible for collecting from the cafe after the order is marked ready.

4. Prices and minimum order

Prices shown in the online ordering system are in pounds sterling and include any applicable taxes. Delivery or collection is shown clearly at checkout, and any delivery charge is shown separately.

A minimum food order may apply. The current minimum is shown in the ordering system and may be changed by the cafe. The minimum applies to the food subtotal before any delivery charge.

If a genuine pricing or menu error is discovered before an order is accepted, we may reject the order or contact you before proceeding.

5. Placing and accepting an order

Submitting an online order sends an order request to Laura's Little Cafe. Your order is not treated as accepted until cafe staff accept it through the staff ordering system.

We may reject an order before acceptance where we reasonably cannot fulfil it, including because an item is unavailable, a delivery address cannot be served, there is a duplicate order or the ordering service has closed.

6. Cash payment

No online card payment is taken. The total displayed at checkout is the amount expected in cash on delivery or collection, subject to any substitution or amendment that you later approve.

Please have sufficient cash available when the order is delivered or collected. If you request a receipt during checkout, staff will be prompted to include one before the order is handed over.

7. Stock, substitutions and changes

Menu availability can change during service. Items marked as sold out are removed from online ordering, but an item may occasionally become unavailable after an order has been submitted.

If staff need to change an accepted order, the proposed change will appear on your order tracking screen. You will be asked to accept the change or cancel the order. Where a change affects the price, the revised cash total will be shown before you accept it.

8. Cancelling an order

You can cancel a newly submitted order through the tracking page while the online cancellation option remains available. Once preparation has progressed, online cancellation may no longer be available and you should telephone the cafe as soon as possible.

Freshly prepared food is perishable. Change-of-mind cancellation and return rights that apply to many distance purchases do not generally apply in the same way to perishable food. This does not affect your rights if food is faulty, unsafe, not as described or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights.

9. Delivery and collection

Delivery customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate address, postcode and telephone number, and for ensuring somebody is available to receive the order. Collection customers must provide a valid contact number and collect from the cafe once the order is shown as ready.

Order tracking is provided to show progress through preparation and, where applicable, delivery or collection. It is a status service and does not provide a guaranteed delivery or collection time.

After a delivery is sent with the driver, the tracking system may automatically mark it as delivered after the time configured by the cafe. You can confirm arrival earlier from your private tracking link. Collection orders are marked collected by cafe staff.

If the driver cannot reasonably complete a delivery because the address is incorrect, inaccessible or nobody is available, please contact the cafe to discuss the order.

10. Allergens and Halal items

For allergen information, please telephone Laura's Little Cafe on 07901 399575 before placing your order. Do not rely on the general order notes field to communicate an allergy or other medical requirement.

Menu items displaying our Halal badge use meat supplied to us as Halal-certified. Only items carrying the Halal badge are represented by us as Halal, so customers should not assume that an item without the badge is Halal.

Unless we state otherwise, food is prepared in a shared kitchen. The Halal badge identifies the relevant ingredients and does not mean that the whole cafe, kitchen or preparation environment is Halal-certified.

11. Order tracking and previous orders

Delivery tracking can be recovered using the delivery postcode and house number or house name used for the order. Collection tracking can be recovered using the collection order number and the phone number used at checkout. These checks reduce the risk of somebody viewing another customer's order.

Where available, the tracking service may also show recent delivery orders associated with the same delivery address.

12. Reviews

After an order is marked as delivered or collected, the customer may be invited to leave a star rating and comment. Reviews must relate to a genuine order and must not contain unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading content.

We may remove a review where reasonably necessary, including for privacy, legal or moderation reasons. Review information is also handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.

13. Problems with an order

If there is a problem with your food, delivery or collection, please contact Laura's Little Cafe as soon as reasonably possible on 07901 399575 so we can investigate and try to put matters right.

Goods supplied to consumers must meet the standards required by law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Website and service interruptions

We take reasonable steps to keep the website and ordering service available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. The system may be unavailable because of maintenance, loss of internet connection, server problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

The collection and delivery settings remain as last selected by authorised cafe staff. Closing, refreshing or temporarily disconnecting the staff order board does not automatically change those settings, so staff are responsible for switching a service off whenever the cafe is unable to fulfil new online orders.

15. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

These terms are not intended to make you responsible for losses caused by Laura's Little Cafe failing to meet its legal obligations.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the ordering service, delivery or collection arrangements, or business processes change. The version applying to an order is the version published when that order is placed.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings that apply to you under consumer law.
